After placing the order, you will need to send a clear photo of your pet.  Email your photo to: admin@konabdesigns.com  I will use it as the reference for your custom portrait. The final artwork will keep your pet’s pose and overall look from the photo while transforming it into a soft watercolor and ink-style design.
While these portraits are not traditionally hand-painted with watercolor on paper, I do add artistic sketching and detailing by hand digitally to help capture your pet's personality.
We only ship out after you approve the artwork. You can request revisions until you are totally satisfied (in most cases our pet portraits don't need any revision). This piece will be 100% custom tailored for you.

A: A photo that displays the features of your pet clearly. It is best if the pet is forward facing without anyone or anything obscuring the face and chest. However, we can work with most any photo.

Q: Is this a real painting?
A: The watercolor effect is applied digitally, and we then add ink strokes and shading by hand to capture your pet's unique personality.

Q: Do you do other types of pets?
A: Yes! We do dog portraits, cat portraits, bunny portraits, horse portraits, bird portraits, and sometimes people!

Q: Can I send multiple photos and choose the best portrait?
A: You can submit multiple photos and we will choose the best one. If you are ok with us selecting which one to use, then you can submit more than one. If you have one that you really want to use, just submit it. Rest assured, we will inform you if the chosen photo doesn't meet our quality standards.
